Uganda’s leading artiste Eddy Kenzo has finally admitted that Minister Phiona Nyamutooro is not just apersonal friend but awife whom they have achild together.
” I just want to let you know that Honourable Phiona Nyamutoro is my personal friend and awife. We have a kid (child) together,” Kenzo said, drawing wild cheers from the crowd.
This comes days after the practical hit singer, said in a TV interview that he had other children besides his two known daughters Maya and Aamal.
While at the Eid celebrations at the Comedy Store UG event at UMA Showgrounds on Wednesday evening, Kenzo referred to Hon. Nyamutoro as his “personal person.”
“I have to tell you this. Hon. Nyamutoro is my personal person and we have a kid together,” Kenzo said before proceeding to perform his song “Balipila Boda”.
He gave a spirited performance that didn’t leave anyone in their seat, turning up the vibe at the comedy grounds.
His revelation has left the netizens on social media divided in opinion.
A section of Kenzo’s fans applauds him for going public about his affair with Nyamutoro while critics point out how it wasn’t necessary to launch their affair in such a manner.
Hon. Nyamutoro has previously denied any affair with Kenzo, often maintaining that they are only close friends and comrades
Edrisah Musuuza alias Eddy Kenzo was born in Masaka, Uganda. His mother died when he was about 5 years old, and he spent the following 13 years living largely on the streets of Masaka and Kampala. Initially, Kenzo aspired to be a professional footballer and joined Masaka Local Council FC’s camp at the age of 9.
He became Uganda’s first-ever Grammy nominee last year for the hit song“Gimme Love” and that collaboration with Matt B, which led to the nomination.
