Popular Pan African Pyramid Global Awards 7th edition will be happening on 31st August at Fair Hotel Kampala.

Pan African Pyramid Global Awards have consistently recognized influential Pan Africanists who have played pivotal roles in uplifting the continent socially, economically, and politically.

According to PAP Awards organiser Andrew Irumba this year’s edition of the awards will be held under the theme:Pan Africanism, Environmentalism and Humanism

The Pan-African Pyramid is an intellectual non-partisan discussion forum built on the Pillars of Pan Africanism,patriotism and nationalism whose Ideal/pre-occupation is to revive intellectual discourse among the youths with a bias of re-constructing our lost Pan-Africanism, patriotism and Nationalism Values and spirit.

Pan-Africanism was the attempt to create a sense of brotherhood and collaboration among all people of African descent whether they lived inside or outside of Africa. The themes raised in this excerpt connect to the aspirations of people, the values of European culture, and the world of African colonies.
Last year PAP award recognized 13 Pan Africanists namely,
Hon.Thomas Tayebwa (Deputy Speaker of Parliament of the Republic of Uganda) (Ugandan) who bagged the African Renaissance Award.
Bishop Maponga Joshua 111 Marara (Internationally acclaimed Pan-Africanist and Bishop of the Seventh-day Adventist Church) (Zimbabwean)-African Philosopher Award.
Ambassador Paul Flynn (renowned African environmental Philanthropist (African-Irish)-African Environmental Philanthropist Award.
Hamis Kiggundu (renowned Ugandan businessman, investor, real estate and property developer, philanthropist, author and lawyer) (Ugandan)African Renaissance & Iconic Dev’t Entrepreneur Award.
Kin Kariisa (African IT revolutionist, Pan-Africanist and CEO of Next Media Services) (Ugandan)- African Transformative Leader (Media & ICT) Award.

6. Ms Shanta Rabadiya (Humanitarian] Award) (Ugandan of Indian origin)-Humanitarian [Ubuntu] Award.
Fred Mukasa Mbidde (renowned Pan-Africanist and International Rights lawyer) (Ugandan)-African Renaissance [Civil Rights Lawyer] Award.
Richard Byarugaba (a renowned African Iconic Accountant and Economist working with Bank of Uganda [BoU] (Ugandan)-African Iconic Economist Award.
Tabu Daniel Ogwal (African Renaissance) (Ugandan)-Humanitarian [Ubuntu] Award.
Martin Luther King Jr- (Most Distinguished Pan-Africanist Of All Life Times) (African American) Award.
E Fidel Alejandro Castro-(Most Distinguished Pan-Africanist Of All Times) Award and;
Prof Lawrence Muganga, the Vice Chancellor Victoria University scooped Africa’s Revolutionary Educationist Award.
Kin Kariisa, the visionary leader and Group CEO of Next Media, was honoured for his exceptional contributions to uplifting Africa through ICT and media.

Past awardees include illustrious figures such as Former Libyan President Col. Muammar Gaddafi, General Elly Tumwiine, Prof. Kajabago Ka-Rusoke, John Garang De Ma Bior, Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi, Fagil M. Mande, Winnie Mandela, and His Excellency Major General Lekoa Solly Mollo (Rtd), among others.
