BLUE CRANE COMMUNICATIONS CUTS PRICE ON INTERNET

Published:

In a strategic move aimed to beat business competition, Blue Crane Communications (BCC) has launched its “Switch to BCC” campaign by reducing prices on internet packages with increased data.

The move aims to increase internet accessibility and affordability in Uganda, where high internet costs have hindered economic growth and digital development.

Under the new campaign, which runs until December 2024, BCC is offering fiber home users and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) true unlimited internet packages starting at 50Mbps for UGX 110,000 (approximately $30 USD), 75Mbps for UGX 150,000 ($40 USD), and 100Mbps for UGX 200,000 ($55 USD).

“We’re providing customers with faster internet at lower prices, ensuring seamless connectivity that enhances productivity,” said Ali Kisekka, Head of SME & Home Sales at BCC.

BCC’s services are available in the Kampala Metropolitan areas, including Kampala, Entebbe, Gayaza, Wakiso, and Mukono.

“The larger packages now come at lower prices, allowing customers to pay less and get more,” Kisekka explained. “With the Switch to BCC campaign, we’re offering customers a unique opportunity to experience faster internet at lower prices, ensuring that both home users and businesses can enjoy seamless connectivity that enhances productivity.”

The campaign aims to capitalize on Uganda’s growing demand for high-speed, affordable internet. According to the Uganda Communications Commission’s Market Performance Report, internet subscriptions surged by 1.2 million in the quarter ending March 2023, reaching 27 million.

A report by Global Digital Insights reveals Uganda has over 13.3 million internet users as of this year.

BCC’s product offerings extend beyond internet packages, including advanced security and surveillance, ICT and telecommunications, power solutions, and smart TV solutions.

“With a focus on quality, accessibility, and customer satisfaction, BCC is dedicated to transforming the digital experience for individuals and businesses,” Kisekka added. “We urge customers to subscribe to BCC and enjoy the benefits, including superior customer service, 24/7 technical support, and the flexibility to upgrade or downgrade bandwidth without changing physical infrastructure.”
