BUGANDA KINGDOM MINISTER BUYS OFF JIMMY SEKASI INSTITUTE

In a strategic move aimed to contribute towards job creation, Buganda Kingdom Minister has bought Jimmy Sekasi Catering Institute headquartered in Kabalagala.

Started in 1989 by lateJimmy Hannington Sekasi, who was murdered by the LRA rebels with nine of his students on a study tour to Murchison Falls in Northern Uganda in March 2001, Jimmy Sekasi Business Institute (JSBI) has been instrumental in training hospitality workers in the country.

This institute is now a private limited liability company run by Gombe Education Service (GES) and owned by Owekitibwa Kyewalabye Male David.

The institute recently represented Uganda in a world food competition in Kolkata, India at Guru Nanak Institute of Hotel Management (GNIHM) from 12th March 2024 to 15th March 2024 and emerged winners.
