In amove aimed enhance preparations for the Paris 2024 Olympics, the Uganda Olympic Committee/Commonwealth Games Uganda (UOC/CGU) entered into a strategic partnership with Kansai Plascon.
The MOU was officially signed by UOC/CGU President Dr. Donald Rukare and Kansai Plascon’s Managing Director Mr. Santosh Gumte, alongside Head of Marketing Mr. Daniel Kayongo.
Kansai Plascon, a leading paint manufacturing company, has committed to supporting Team Uganda in their journey to the Paris 2024 Olympics.
This partnership aims to provide crucial financial and logistical support, enhancing the athletes’ preparation and overall performance.
Dr. Donald Rukare highlighted the importance of this partnership: “We are thrilled to welcome Kansai Plascon as a key partner in our preparations for the Paris 2024 Olympics. Their support is invaluable and will significantly contribute to our athletes’ success on the global stage. Mr. Santosh Gumte expressed Kansai Plascon’s enthusiasm for supporting Ugandan athletes: “Kansai Plascon is proud to partner with the Uganda Olympic Committee/Commonwealth Games Uganda. We believe in the potential of Ugandan athletes and are dedicated to supporting their journey to Paris 2024. Our contribution aims to provide the necessary resources for the athletes to excel and bring pride to our nation.”
The support from Kansai Plascon will be directed towards various aspects of the athletes’ preparation, including, Training Facilities: Enhancing training environments to ensure athletes have access to world-class facilities as well as Facilitating smooth logistical arrangements for the athletes and support staff.
The MOU signing was attended by prominent stakeholders from both organizations, underscoring the significance of this collaboration. The presence of Kansai Plascon’s leadership team, along with UOC/CGU officials, highlighted the unified commitment to supporting Team Uganda.
